Can Tintorer
Can Tintorer, the entryway to ancient Gavą
The earliest references to Can Tintorer, on Carrer de Rafael de Casanova, date back to the 15th century. In 1985, the house was restored with the addition of a new spiral staircase and the Sant Nicasi parish church, which is slightly separated from the farmhouse wall.
Can Tintorer has an asymmetrical faēade, with sandstone lintels and jambs. The voussoir-arched door, made of the same material, is also striking. Inside the farmhouse, owned by the municipality, is the entry to the Gavą prehistoric mines.
