Can Rosés
Can Rosés has a fortified tower, characteristic of the Catalan coast
This listed building is one of the most remarkable farmhouses in Gavà. In the 16th century it was known as Can Riera del Serguerar and was the centre of an important farm.
Can Rosés is a fine example of a farmhouse with fortified tower. Its structure is asymmetric, and it has a ground floor, first floor and attic. Of particular note is the carved sandstone that frame the windows and the two doors, one with a voussoir pointed arch and the other with a lintel. A sundial dominates the central part of the building. The fortified tower is connected to the eastern façade of the building by a covered bridge.
