Parc Natural del Garraf
A third of the Gavā municipal area is taken up by the massif of the Parc Natural del Garraf
Among the sites of interest in the area are the remains of the Eramprunyā castle and the Sant Miquel Hermitage, a number of typical farmhouses such as Can Llong, and natural features such as the Roca Foradada.
Can Llong
This municipally-owned farmhouse, on the Carretera de la Sentiu was extensively rebuilt by the La Sentiu school-workshop and the municipal company Gavanenca d'Obres, as only the outer walls remained. Of particular note are its two semi-circular voussoir-arched doorways with sandstone frames. On the main faįade is a sundial dating back to 1833. Currently, Can Llong is a restaurant specialising in mountain cuisine, within the La Sentiu recreation area.
Eramprunyā Castle
This Romanesque castle is on the Turķ de l'Eramprunyā hill, in the Garraf massif. It consisted of a near-rectangular floor plan and was partly surrounded by a double outer wall. Inside the walls, most of the Sant Miquel hermitage still remains, separated from the main stronghold by a moat cut out of the rock. Two cisterns and a number of anthropomorphic graves have also been excavated.
Mare de Déu de Bruguers Hermitage
This is a listed religious building dating back to the 11th century, located next to the Carretera de Begues, at the foot of the hill on which Eramprunyā castle stands. Originally, it was probably the Sant Martí chapel, later to become the Santa Magdalena del Sitjar chapel and, from 1509, the Mare de Déu de Bruguers chapel. It mixes Romanesque and Gothic elements in a building raised around a single nave.
Roca Foradada
This is at the foot of the path to Eramprunyā castle. This natural bridge is the result of the erosion of a large sandstone rock, characteristic of the Garraf massif. The spot has a marvellous view of the forest and the sea. It is easily reached from the esplanade of the Mare de Déu de Bruguers hermitage by taking the path to Eramprunyā castle.
